Social Media Series: Session 2
This session is the second of four in our series.
This session looks at how to use Twitter for your business, the terminology, how to start, how to build a community, what and who to avoid, how to filter out the noise and forge a path with a purpose relevant to you and your company. Twitter serves many purposes and can be used in many different ways – we will find a way to ensure the best results for you and your business.
Blogging should be at the centre of every Social Media plan – you own it, Facebook for example owns you. Some say it could go the way of Friends Reunited and Bebo (not today but maybe someday)… If you look at 2 websites selling the same or similar products, the one with a blog will gain 55% more traffic than the one without – if there is at least one a post a week (Hubspot research 2011). In this session Colin Gilchrist shows you how to start a blog and the tools and approach you need to make it succeed.
For this session we encourage you to bring your laptop (although not essential) additionally remote access to your work email address would also be useful.
