Get up to £5,000 training funding!

Do you qualify for up to £5,000 of funding for our training courses?

If your business is based in Scotland, is a private or third sector organisation, and employs 150 or less staff then the answer is YES!

We are delighted to advise that Skills Development Scotland (SDS) has approved all Chamber Business Solutions training courses* for their Flexible Training Opportunities funding scheme.

This means eligible companies are able to claim funding for up to 50% of the cost for all our open training courses, and bespoke in-house training as well.

Eligible companies are:

Those with 150 employees or less
Based in Scotland
Private, charity, or third-sector
Sole traders
Freelancers

ILA Scotland Funding

Who can access an ILA (Individual Learning Account) and free training?
You or your staff are eligible if -

• You are 16 or over and living in Scotland
• You have an annual income of £22,000 or less, or are on benefits

What is an ILA?


ILA Scotland is a Scottish Government scheme that helps you pay for learning that you can do at a time, place, pace and in a way to suit you. An Individual Learning Account (ILA) of £200 is available to fund the training you need.

How can you access the ILA and book a course?


1. Request a pack here

2. Complete the application and return

3. Once you receive you ILA reference number you can book your course. As an ILA Provider, Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce’s open courses are eligible- just choose from our wide range of one-day courses.

4. You will receive your ILA token in the post – sign it and bring it to the course with you.
